LocaJot FAQ and Support
First simple hint: If you want to get back to the LocaJot home screen in the app, simply tap the LocaJot logo at the top and it will take you back home. Wasn't that easy?
Second simple hint: Lots of things are happening on the LocaJot map. First, look in the upper left of the map for the the current category filter displaying in gray text. Unless the category filter is "ALL", you may be displaying only a single category of venues. To change the display category, go to Map Options page and select a new category. Another possibility is that you have set the star filter. If any of the stars at the bottom of the map page are red, then the map is only displaying venues that you have rated at least as high as the number of stars displayed.
A few simple questions answered for you:

Why is my place of work missing from the nearby venues?
LocaJot uses the foursquare® service to find nearby venues. If your workplace is not on foursquare®, you will need to use the foursquare® website or app to add it. Once created in foursquare® it will be available for you to use in LocaJot.
I thought I logged off. Why does LocaJot still return my foursquare® Check-in™ history?
Logging out of your foursquare® account is simple, but takes three steps.
1) First go to the config page (home screen gear)
and hit the "Log Out" button.
2) After confirming that you want to continue,
you'll see the foursquare webpage displayed with
the LocaJot name.
3) The last step is to click the "Log Out" button
on that embedded foursquare® web page (upper right
of the page).
4) Tap the LocaJot logo at the top of the screen
to get back to the app and continue on with your
notes.
I don't feel comfortable giving LocaJot my foursquare® username and password.
LocaJot does not have access to your login information. When you type in your password, you are really on the foursquare® website. The login mechanism is called OAuth2 and we think it works well.
None of my venues appear on the map. What do I do?
First look in the upper left of the map for the the current category filter displaying in gray text. Unless the category filter is "ALL", you may be displaying only a single category of venues. To change the display category, click "Map Options" and select a new category. Another possibility is that you have set the star filter. If any of the stars at the bottom of the map page are red, then the map is only displaying venues that you have rated at least as high as the number of stars displayed.
Some venues don't have phone numbers and other phone numbers are not correct. Why is that?
LocaJot gets all the phone number data from the foursquare® Venues database. Let's have patience while they continue to improve the database and create something great.
How do I rank venues?
Click on a venue from the My Venues screen or click the venue on the map. To change the rating of a venue, tap your finger on the stars.
